Our Senior Pastor
Elder Joanne Daniels is the founder and Senior Pastor of Divine Grace Fellowship and Outreach Ministries. She is the youngest daughter of the late Deacon Charlie Alston and Mother Lou Ellen Alston and is a lifetime resident of Durham, North Carolina. She served as an Associate Minister at her home church Markham Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of her Pastor for 28 years. She also served as Executive Assistant to the Pastor and Church Administrator, President of the Mass Choir, Praise & Worship Leader, President of the Women’s Fellowship Ministry, Youth Pastor and Young Adult Sunday
In September of 2008, Elder Daniels accepted her call to Pastor and stepped out in obedience to the Call of God. On October 19, 2009, Pastor Daniels along with a few family began having home Bible Studies that grew each week. God instructed Pastor Daniels to look for a building to house the ministry and in a matter of two (2) weeks, God supplied everything that was needed to start the ministry and thus Divine Grace Fellowship and Outreach Ministries was born. God has been faithful and the hand of God has been upon her life and this ministry ever since. Pastor Daniels is an anointed, spirit-filled, spirit-led woman of God, who believes once you have truly been touched by the hand God your life will never be the same. She is a worshiper and knows the power of true worship in Spirit and in Truth. In 2013 Pastor Daniels under the direction of the Holy Spirit, declared a new vision and name change for the church, thus calling it Divine Grace Worship Center.
Her motto is “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
